. All these words mean the same thing at RookieRags. The cornerstone of our work is to transform items someone else no longer wanted into something new, something better. A lot of what we upcycle is damaged, unusable, and probably destined for a landfill. We're doing our small part to eliminate waste while creating something beautiful, unique and useful. Some of what we rescue is vintage, just like the equipment we use. All the materials we work with have a history. They once enhanced other lives, but have evolved into goods that stand out in a crowd. One of our handbags may have been a jacket or a skirt. Our crib shoes and other small leather items are made from the leather scraps we save. Very little is wasted. We're even fortunate to find partially used thread and other notions. |
